Creativity Inspires Creativity

(A note about Sparky.)

Sparky was inspired by a vibrant graffiti mural of a German Shepherd created by artist, E.S. Barraza, whose bold use of color, expression, and movement captured the joy and curiosity that art can spark.

When I reached out to E.S. about him potentially creating a brand around the dog in his German Shepherd mural, he graciously shared that he didn’t wish to do so himself, and encouraged me instead to create my own dog character using an AI image creator and build something original. That encouragement stayed with me.

Inspired by his artwork, his creative generosity, and my own mission to support children through faith, hope, and love, Sparky was born — not as a copy, but as a new character with his own personality, purpose, and story. Sparky is a reminder that creativity is not about ownership alone — it’s about inspiration, permission, and what we build next.

At The Life Strategies Kids, we believe creativity inspires creativity — and that every child (and adult) has something meaningful to create.

A Note to Parents & Caregivers

Children are watching how we create.

They are watching how we honor others.
They are watching how we respond to inspiration.
They are watching how we build something new.

Sparky’s story is more than a design story — it’s a reminder that creativity is something we model.

When your child draws a picture inspired by something they saw …
When they imagine a character after reading a book …
When they build something new from an idea that sparked their curiosity …

That is creativity at work. You can encourage that. You can say:

  • “I love how you made that your own.”

  • “What inspired you?”

  • “How could you make it even more you?”

Creativity grows when it is affirmed.
Confidence grows when it is encouraged.
Integrity grows when it is modeled.

At The Life Strategies Kids, we believe creativity is a gift — and when children are invited to use it thoughtfully and boldly, they begin to see themselves as capable creators, not just consumers. Thank you for nurturing that in your child. Together, we’re raising creative, confident, faith-filled kids.
