Standing at the Threshold: Reflecting on 2025 & Stepping into 2026 with Faith, Hope, and Purpose

There is something sacred about this moment.

New Year’s Eve is not just a date on a calendar — it is a threshold.
A pause.
A deep breath between what has been and what is becoming.

Tonight, as the final hours of 2025 slip quietly into history and the clock inches toward midnight, many of us are holding a mixture of emotions: gratitude, grief, relief, exhaustion, anticipation, uncertainty … and hope.

And all of it belongs.

Honoring the Year You Survived — and the Person You Became

2025 may not have unfolded the way you imagined it would.

Perhaps you navigated a difficult caregiving season.
Maybe you walked through a major life transition — graduating, retiring, starting over, relocating, grieving, healing, or learning how to live again after loss.
Maybe you spent this year simply trying to stay afloat.

If so, I want you to hear this:

You did not waste this year.
You were becoming.

Growth is not always loud.
Sometimes it looks like showing up when your heart is tired.
Sometimes it looks like learning how to set boundaries.
Sometimes it looks like letting go of what you can no longer carry.

Before the new year arrives, give yourself permission to reflect gently:

  • What did this year teach you about yourself?

  • What did you release that no longer serves you?

  • Where did you discover new strength?

  • What are you proud of surviving?

You are allowed to honor your resilience without minimizing your pain.

The Midnight Moment: Choosing How You Will Step Forward

When the clock strikes midnight, nothing magically changes around us — but something can change within us.

We are given the opportunity to choose again.

Not a resolution rooted in pressure or perfection,
but an intention rooted in alignment.

As you enter 2026, I invite you to consider these three quiet commitments:

1. Choose to Live with Intention

Not everything needs to be rushed.
Not every door must be forced open.
This year, let your steps be guided by purpose, not pressure.

2. Choose to Care for Your Whole Self

Your physical health, emotional well-being, spiritual life, and mental clarity are not separate — they are connected.
This is the year you stop postponing your own care.

3. Choose Hope — Even When You Cannot See the Path Yet

Hope is not pretending things are easy.
Hope is trusting that God is still writing your story.

A Prayer for the Year Ahead

As the final moments of 2025 fade into memory, I offer this prayer for you:

May 2026 bring clarity where there has been confusion,
peace where there has been unrest,
healing where there has been hurt,
and courage where there has been fear.

May you walk forward with faith in your heart,
hope in your spirit,
and love guiding every step.

May this be the year you finally begin to live the life your soul has been whispering about.

If You Are Standing at a Life Transition

If this new year finds you standing at a crossroads — unsure of what comes next, carrying responsibility for others, or longing for change — you are not alone.

Life transitions are not interruptions.
They are invitations.

And 2026 is full of them.

Tonight, as you cross the threshold into a new chapter, step gently.
You are exactly where you are meant to be.

From my heart to yours,

Happy New Year!
Welcome to 2026!
Let’s walk this journey together.

With faith, hope, and love,
Michelle
