Michelle,
I woke up at 5am and started reading this; could not stop. This is extremely well-written. I started my day with tears of gratitude for how my sister-friend created a safe, loving space for her Mom to live her best life; then dealt with and recovered from the painful tragedy of the sudden loss of a parent. Talent doesn't make great authors, experiences do. Thanks for sharing yours with the world.
Michelle,
I finished reading your book and appreciate the opportunity to have a window into my future, albeit not to the extent you provided for your mom. I am remotely managing for my mom’s financial and health care needs and anticipate she may move to Arizona full-time as she ages. Your book will help me on that journey. Well done!
Reading the Day The Music Stopped was a beautiful experience for me. The love Michelle shared with her mother during the end of her life was inspiring. This book opened my mind to the parent-child relationship and how it can change over the years. Michelle’s conscious entrance into her mother’s caregiving showed that there is beauty to be found in caregiving -- it is not a burden. I highly recommend this book to anyone about to face, or presently navigating, caregiving or any of life’s transitions.

Michelle,
For one that never reads books, I thought yours was brilliant! Mind blowing -- it was happy and sad at the same time; it felt heart warming. Any person who reads your book would nominate you for a special prize for writing it. You had every detail from start to finish, and every chapter had its own story. You should be proud of yourself. If your mom was alive, she would be proud of you; you honored her legacy brilliantly!
